It's been a while since I've wrote here, it seems to me that it's been gathering a huge amount of dust. My sincere apologies to those of you who faithfully check my blog, I know some of you are waiting for new stories or writings to chew on or just to fill your time. The lack of writing is due to my hectic schedule and lack of time for blogging.
Anyway, let's talk about life. What's so great about life, for the past month, I've been thinking about life. It's pretty scary at times, and it can be fun too. But well, many at this, there's this vague, dark thought at the back of my head, and it tells me this: "why live, the faster we die, the better it is, this world we're living in ain't worth living for, it's people are malevolent, apathetic and pessimistic." When this thought comes, I become delirious, what does all of this have to do with me? But true enough, those thoughts are true, sometimes when I see the world around me, I see more evil than good, it's a fact, and most of you would undeniably agree with me.
From the antithetic point of view, we can actually see some good in life too, some people in my life have shown me how good humans can really be. Like what I always say, the human mind is complex and intricate, comprising layers of misconceptions, emotions and thoughts. Some of you will disagree with me on this, but this I what I believe in. Yet the human mind is quaint, and many try to understand it. I marvel and admire at those who have simple minds, they don't fill their minds with thoughtlessness and they have simple yet healthy lifestyle. Those with complex minds on the other hand, think and ponder too much. Some to the extent of acquiring a mental illness.
But as for me, I can't classify myself as simple or complex, but I believe that everything happens for a reason. I'm not trying to be extra righteous, but as a Christian, I think that everything happens because God allows it to happen. The past year has been hard for me, in many ways, but I've pulled through, and It's been an amazing journey through life, though filled with moments of sky high excitements and trench deep disappointments, it's been a time of reflecting, learning, and a sense of awakening, hence the title of the post awakening.
I think that's enough regarding the topic of life, I'll be back soon, hopefully. SAT's in exactly one month and 3 days, seems long, but in a blink of an eye, those weeks and days will go by.
